Need Advice - Negotiating the Price of a car

    I probably would have liked buying a car from you, then. :)

    That's exactly my point. You don't have to waste time or lie to earn a living in sales. That is a crutch for poor salesmen or sales people who are shortsighted.

    I like Saturn. Not for their cars, but because they say "Here is the price. We are happy to sell you one if you like it." That is how eveything else is purchased, why not new cars?

    I won't spend my money at a bad dealer. I refuse to reward bad behavior by giving them my money.

    As most people say, have cash...If you cannot negotiate a deal and you want the car I have been successful in making my offer, telling the person that I know he may want or need to get more for the car but this is what I think is fair, my offer will be good (I like to used two weeks) from now and should you decide to to deal and the car is still as I see it today..I stand good on my offer. Has worked a number of time for myself and no one gets bent...
