I recently got a 54 chevy bel air 4 door. I have rot in the bottoms of the doors and in other various areas. There really isnt any time to bring it into the shop I work at. And Im still very new to the scene. I need help doing body work, strippin the paint, patching holes or replaceing metal. I need all the help i can get. I been working on it in my driveway, i have no indoor area to work or any larger tools, just a 4inch grinder and a nice DA sander. Im in south NJ, 08030. HELP!

So you want someone to come over and help you work on it, in person? That's kinda asking for a lot, try asking some of your local buddies first.

My second thought is, usually the doors on these cars don't rot out unless there's a shitload of other rust on the car. (I have a '53) So seeing that it's a four door, maybe this one's beyond fixing and you should look for a better starting point? Just a thought.

What kinda help are you looking for? (I live in Wisconsin so don't ask me) but as far as bodywork goes just start doing it and see how you do or ask for specific advice. If you need tools ask friends and nieghbors if you could borrow them for the afternoon or save some money a set of airtools is nice to have. As far as having a shop goes don't worry about it i'm a firm believer in front yard car work I've been doing all the car work on my stuff in my front yard for a couple years.

good luck and I hope it turns out great.
