I'm moving to the Boise area from Texas within the next few months, I wanted to check to see if anyone on the HAMB could give me a lead on a good painter in Idaho.

    Any help much appreciated.

Can't recommend a good one in Boise but stay away from Batchs Rod Shop in Mtn Home.

  3. Isn't Charlie Hutton in or around Boise? Don't know what kind of paint job your lookin' for.....

After looking at that Charlie Hutton website I am a bit intimidated about what their prices might be ;) I am going to have to do some research on the HAMB and see if I cant do my own paint job, there's a first time for everything I guess.

You might contact Tim Wallace at Westside Autobody. He did a bunch of work on the New's 40 pickup.

You might start by talking with Mike Minegar @ Mike Minegar Auto Body in Boise. Mike is a big hot boat and roundy-round racer in the area. Does boats along with cars.

He should be able to lend some info on painters.

Tell him that he was recommended by a Powerboat .com lurker!!

Check Hotrodhotline.com for upcoming events local to Boise as they are based in Boise and then check out paint jobs you like at local rod events and start asking the who did it question.
The Boise Roadster show is March 11/13 this year and you should be able to see quite a bit of the local painters work there if you are moved by then. http://www.expoidaho.com/event-schedule/event/124-44th-annual-roadster-show

Most those Idaho guys just paint potatoes. That being said, they do a really nice job on 'em.
