I had a customer give me (!) 4 Weber carbs yesterday. They say "48 IDA 4" on the base of each. I know nothing about these!! I'm in the process od putting together a 350 Chev for my daily driver '98 Chevy truck. GM Performance Hot Cam, 'bout 9.5-10:1 pistons, stock but worked heads. Anyone got suggestions on how to utilize these carbs on this motor? Been doin car stuff since I was a kid but never payed attention to these. Can it be done? Pete

  2. I've run Webers and have had phenominal results!

They should work fine with that engine but you should be aware that the IR (individual runner) intakes involve a lot more finesse for carb tuning!

I havn't seen common plenim manifolds for Webers..., but that doesn't mean they don't exsist.

Once you have confirmed that you have the correct parts in the carbs..., you'll need to acquire a Flow meter and a "Gunson's Colour Tune" made in England!

Info I need to help you...,
What type of manifold are you running?
    What size venturies? Size Jets?

And never run more than 3.25 psi of fuel!!!!
