So...My Cad has been running for a little over a week now & I've probably put 250+(mostly non-freeway) miles on it so far. I set TDC & dialed it as well as I can given my skill, experience & over-all knowledge(or lack there of). I'm pretty happy with the way it's running, but I really want an experienced pro to give it his/her "blessing".

I REALLY want it DIALED. I just don't trust myself enough I guess. Not lookin' for a hand out, I'll kick down some cash for some real expertise, but I'd like someone to go over it with me so I can LEARN.

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Anyone?

Maybe someone can recommend a reasonable shop or engine builder that would do it well.

hey randy... im not sure whats in SJ, but if no one here replies you could check with your local speed shop for some engine builders.

if you want to cruise north to South SF theres a shop, Reggie Jacksons High Performance. give him a hollar, i know they have been in the hi-perf engine business for a couple generations, this aught to be a piece of cake... john use to let me hang over his shoulder, but i was also 17 yrs old at the time..heh.

theres also gotelli's speed shop in SSF too... but im not sure if they *help out* anymore. lots of dumbass's into cars these days, so liability might be too high.

    Randy,

call Willie with the 61 Cad, if he can't help you, sure as hell he will be able to recommend someone local, he's in Santa Clara, right near the airport.

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid the local Speed Merchant, but it may come to that. They'd do a great job I'm sure, but I just wanted to check here & see if there was a Hamber interested in this.

    Anyway, thanks.

Its on Parker Ave, off Laffeyte?

He has been there since January, nice guy, coffee always on the go... I spent most of friday morning there, he's planning an 'Open House' in a couple of months, will be worth a look. But do call him... He's a good guy, and very helpful (very reasonable rates too!!)

    Yorg & Mac,

Yup, I'd MUCH rather learn how to dial the shit then spend any amount of money at a shop just to do it again in a few months.

My big problem is setting the mark on the balancer. When is good for you guys? We don't have to make this a HAMB thrash, but I'd gladly buy beer & pizza & 32 ford 3 windows for you guys (not really). I work at night (grave shift) so I'm free during most days and evenings.

    Let me know.
