Are the front fenders and hood the same on the 600 and Ambassador models? I might have a line on some fenders for my wrecker (see avatar). Thanks
My Hollander Interchange Manual says that 46-48 NASH (4 door, 2 door, coupe and convert). Share these parts: Fenders: A. $23.10 3121045-6 Nash 46-48 Ser. 40 B. $27.50 3121047-8 46-48 Ser. 60 Hood: A. $41.80 3121279 Nash 46-47 Ser. 40 B. $45.65 3112664 Nash 46-48 Ser. 60 C. $41.80 3125204 Nash 48 Ser. 40 I was as careful as I could be copying the info but use it at your own risk (I'm not taking any responsibility for any errors I may have made) Good luck with your project.
looks like the 600 is the model 40, while the Ambassador is the model 60. so, to answer the question, No. http://www.classiccardatabase.com/postwar-models/Nash.php
Also, I'm pretty sure the factory truck fenders aren't the same as the car ones. They're similar in design, but I'm pretty sure I read they do not interchange. I had a couple of these era Nashes and I read into them a bit.
Thanks for the replies. The information I'd found said fenders were from the 600 and cab was the front half of the Ambassador. The guy with the fenders isn't sure which model they came off of so I was hoping they might interchange. So I need to figure out how to tell them apart. Just looking at pictures the 600 and Ambassador look the same. I do know the difference between the car and truck is the size of the wheel opening. They bolted a three inch piece between the fender and the catwalk to make it wider, and bolted extensions on front and back on the bottom to make it taller. Since Nash only sold about 300 trucks in the US truck fenders are non-existent. I figure I'll be doing some metal work on wheel openings.
