There has been a ton of discussion on the early ford 3 and 4 speed toploaders, however I can not seem to find anyone converting a 4 wheel drive to a 2 wheel drive tailshaft. I have 2 free Ford Bronco 3 speed toploaders, is there a tailshaft housing that fits the existing tailshaft? If not what is the shortest tailshaft and housing combination available? Thanks in advance for all your help.
Something like this from a local C/L add? early sixties Ford van top loader 3 speed transmission. Hard to find. tag letter code is h e f br. Has top mount tail shaft housing
Some of the early Econoline vans mounted their transmissions like that. **** , the way the wording was around the pic on my app.made me miss half your statement about the vans, but there is no threads on the Bronco transmission to hold the yoke on. Bones
They made a dozen versions and there are thousands of those transmissions still around. Just buy one with the tail shaft you need. I have a couple dozen of those top loader three speeds in my hoard.
