I bought this 32 Duece a little over a year ago and am now trying to find out it's history and previous owners. It has a 1951 Bonneville sticker in the window. I know it came here to the East Coast from California I was told.

Have you seen it or know any history about it?

    Thx

I recognize that car...it's right out of my dreams. You have my permission to drop that in my driveway at your earliest convenience.

all the good stuff is either being built in Mass, or coming into Mass :) There are so many nice 32's there.

It kind of looks like a lot of things might have been changed in recent years, which might make it very difficult to spark someones memory. Color, interior, etc...

I never noticed...;)...I was looking at the 6 pack of Edmunds oil baths... and the 6 Rochesters that must be set up progressive, because it looks like the outboards have the repro alum bases to eliminate the idle mix screws. (I am a huge fan of Rochesters set up as progressive tri-power, etc)

while we're on the subject...you do not have to give the year when referring to a deuce.

    It's kinda like calling a Model A Coupe a 5 window...they were ALL 5 windows.

    ...and...nice 3w you got there.

The red oxide primer appears to be original from its hod rodding days, it is the only color on it thru out. It looks much better in the pictures than it realy is, it's pretty weathered. I was taught from a old time hod rodder to rub a light penetrating oil like WD-30 into the primer and it will bring it back and preserve it. I think the interior is from that same time frame as well. (I think). Another note-the roof filler panel is also all louvered.

Did they have billet pulleys and radial tires back in the early 50's.

The rear wheel tubs are from a 5 window/roadster.

Did that to mine since that was all that was available at the time.

Old build, new build, mix of old chassis with body that is a bit fresher? I don't care one way or the other I like the hell out of it.

The louvered roof insert doesn't do a thing for me as it looks like something that either keeps the car to being more of a fair weather flyer than a roadster or you end up with a mess if rain gets in. It would have to have paint if it were mine, I've lived with primer way too long to think it's cool.
