First off this is my first Ford car, the guy i bought it from said it was a customline,it also says that on the bottom of the front seat. The body code on the drivers side door plate says its a 70a body style, is that a customline ,is it a coupe, how can i tell. Im looking in a Obsolete cl***ic auto parts catalog and they have the 70a body style listed as a mainline tudor sedan , can someone tell me the difference in all these different models. Also for some reason this catalog skips the 54 model on almost every part in there, there is a small selection of parts but not many, please tell me why the 54 is left out. I would post a pic but i dont see a place for me to, if you look under my profile you can see the car, thanks.

Sadly the 52-54 Fords have been the ******* child with the reproduction folks for many years and only in the last few years have some of the pieces started making their way back to the market place.

I credit a lot of that to all the 52-54 Fords being put back on the road and the efforts of people like Tom Hoskins that started the '54 Ford Club of America back in 1968.

If you go to the "54 Ford Club of America web site there is a list of vendors that may be of some use to you. HRP

try finding parts for a 35 chevy master. standard 35 chevy parts dont fit, and master parts are difficult at best.

sold mine and am finding out i bought another orphan auto, but one that is much easier to find groups/info/parts for.

Since you are new to the Group check this out: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=2274 Send Retro Jim a pm and get this CD! still the same price and the best money you will ever spend on your Ford. One thing is with this you can Google the part numbers which will not only find parts but also the best price, the blow up illustrations will show you where every part and component is located.
