Could someone verify a couple of dimensions for me on the T-5 from a Holden Commodore. Info I have says the distance from the front of the case to the centerline of the shifter is 23.4" and the input shaft protrudes from the case 9.5" Thanks in advance.

Can't help you with the measurements, but are you after a 6cyl version or V8 version measurements? They may be different? I do know that they use the Ford bolt pattern

I've got a Falcon version in the shed. I'll measure that and post my findings.

  4. All T5's, V8's and 6's used here in Oz use the Ford gearbox/bellhousing bolt pattern, the only exceptions apparently were some early/mid 90's Commodore V8 SS's or some such animal that used the Chev pattern gearbox........all T5's here use the rear shifter also..........this is what I was advised by a couple gearbox experts a few yrs ago when I imported my S10 T5.........for various stupid reasons I sold it so can't go measure anything........Mal Wood who advertise in Aust Street rodding are a good source for info, parts etc.........andyd

  5. 2 I have measure 21 1/2" ,shifter centre line to mounting face and they have a input shaft length of 6 1/2" from the end of shaft to the mounting face. Both of these are Ford
The third one is 22 1/2" and 9 1/2" on the same measuring points. This one could be Holden.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone, any links to where I could buy a Holden input shaft who would be willing to ship to California would be appreciated.
