hi there how are you all doing.heres the problem, well i have the car but i have to make the doors.the car in question is a 34 ford roadster.so far i have managed to cut and section 34 ford 4door doors to fit car.now i am stuck on how to make the top of the doors.any help would be great, thanks. wish i had a real garage..
I could probably point you in the right direction if I could see what you are working with. I think a pic of what you have done so far would be helpful. At least for me.... JT.
Oh. Well, that area is more complex than what I can handle. SO I am just BTTT so somebody else can help ya. I could probably tell you how to do it with lots of patch work and a few gallons of bondo, but I figure you don't want any monkey business like that.... Good luck. JT.
you need to fabricate the section i've circled, correct?... well, and i'm no "bodyman" (see my post about fabricating a bra!) i would search.... here wait, i'll do it for you... ten minutes later... for this thread... damn, it being in tech-o-matic totally threw me off finding it... anyway, the part where he pie-cuts the straight section and welds it back together to get the appropriate curve is the bit that i was trying to get to... you'll need to do a bit more bashing of flat sections to fill out that curved area but you should be able to get there, with a good dose of swearing thrown in col.
thanks unkl ian thats awesome .gona have to dig out my old sheet metal books and dust off my woodworking tools.
