need help from you bodymen out there

    hi there how are you all doing.heres the problem,well i have the car but i have to make the doors.the car in question is a 34 ford roadster.so far i have managed to cut and section 34 ford 4door doors to fit car.now i am stuck on how to make the top of the doors.any help would be great,thanks. wish i had a real garage..

    I could probably point you in the right direction if I could see what you are working with.
    I think a pic of what you have done so far would be helpful.

    Well, that area is more complex than what I can handle. SO I am just BTTT so somebody else can help ya.

    I could probably tell you how to do it with lots of patch work and a few gallons of bondo, but I figure you don't want any monkey business like that.... [​IMG]

    you need to fabricate the section i've circled, correct?...

    well, and i'm no "bodyman" (see my post about fabricating a bra!) i would search.... here wait, i'll do it for you...

    ten minutes later...

    for this thread... damn, it being in tech-o-matic totally threw me off finding it...

    anyway, the part where he pie-cuts the straight section and welds it back together to get the appropriate curve is the bit that i was trying to get to... you'll need to do a bit more bashing of flat sections to fill out that curved area but you should be able to get there, with a good dose of swearing thrown in [​IMG]

    thanks unkl ian thats awesome .gona have to dig out my old sheet metal books and dust off my woodworking tools.
