need help hunting a shorting noise on sbc WITH video.

    Fixed it, had the rubber washer for the ****on under the coil in the wrong place.

    I had it in position A it's evidently supposed to go in position B

    Did you put in a ground stap I the end? You should mail him that beer man!

    actually truth be told I pulled it apart and changed that little washer thing and it fixed everything, I then moved a box on the work bench and the ground strap fell out of it! so for ****s and giggles I took it all back apart even though the noise was gone and put the ground strap in to make the HAMB happy ;)

    Be glad you put that ground back on. If left off it would have taken out the module.

  8. Speaking of that dreaded module, you (and anyone else running a HEI) should have one in the glovebox and a cheapy nut driver set to change it. They give NO warning when their going to go! Can turn a disaster into a 10 min. delay....

    I find it works better to back out with the door open. Otherwise, it wakes up the neighbors. ;)
