Getting ready to modify a Chevy tilt column for the A. Would like to try and identify what year and what it can out of if possible. Any help would be appreciated. :D

Tilt column with "4 way flasher switch"
    Quadrant has P R N D L2 L1
    Overall length 39"

    Has sticker with 7DZ 7827343
Floor boot rubber is embossed with 3970856 ABC 3

Was suppose to have been out of a GM van.

    Thanks for the help guys.

If no one has a key, you might try one of the aftermarket column people to see if they can ID it for you-maybe Flaming River or Ididit or one of the truck guys like LMC. www.lmctruck.com. or one of the Chevy sites.
I,and a bunch of others here, have old Motor Manuals which might help you if you get close to the year.

Good luck. I've got a tilting/telescoping column in my '31 coupe, but it's actually a Chrysler licensing of the GM column.
