I just got this intake from a guy who said it was one of the first production aluminum intakes Chevy used on the 327. Since I have no clue about its origins, I thought I'd see if anyone can identify what it was used on.

It's a high rise dual plane intake, with a Chevy bowtie at the back of the carburator mount. Casting number is 14044836. Has the Winter's "snowflake" next to the thermostat, and it does have the oil fill hole in the front, so I'm****uming it's for an early motor.

It's missing the oil splash shield on the bottom. 04045 is cast at the front, and the name Cook is stamped in the center of the intake where the splash shield goes. There's no provision for an EGR valve, but it does have the mount for a "heat choke".

If anyone has any background on what motor this might have come from I'd appreciate it! I can't find the casting number listed anywhere on the web. This might be from a truck, I don't know.
