Hope everyone had a nice 4th.

So I'm driving home yesterday and I spot this beauty laying out on the curb in front of a house. There is a young couple moving in and they are cleaning out all of the "trash" that the previous owner left. This was the only car related piece. (I asked).
Didn't want to see this thing end up at the local scrap/recycling yard.

For the life of me I can't figure out what this

    Late 1920's - early 1930's make/model???

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

That's what I thought at first but the body lines don't match up. Or at least the models I'm familiar with.

yeah, I suck at building engines, gearboxes, and doing bodywork. But I am pretty good at googling.

That recess in the firewall for the engine, definitely Chevy. Looks to be good conditon going by the way the 'A' pillars step at the top and the untouched fold at the base of the windshield. No rust at bottom.
