My brother is rebuilding a 52 Plymouth and can't figure out what front end is currently on the car. He's been told it could be a 78 Monte Carlo, he's also heard it's a 73 Chevelle.

    Does anyone recognize it?

  2. Personally, I'd go Rockauto.com and look up in their catalog the part numbers for both of those front ends for brake pads and calipers and if they're different, bring my old ones to the local parts store and make them show me both. Assuming, of course, you have those parts on it.

A '78 Monte Carlo or Malibo clip should have a Saginaw 605 steering box on it, though, that may be of some help.

I'd go with 73 chevelle judging by what little I can see of the brake rotors. If your pictures showed everything, instead of just some parts, it might help? The calipers on the 78-up A body are quite a bit smaller than the 73-77 cars

Definatly not a 78 Monte, whatever it is it was before the gas shock ft bumpers judging by the front frame horns. Maybe 73 Chevelle but it also could be early 70's Camaro/ Firebird.
