These seats came out of my 38 chevy 2 door sedan. Not sure if they are original and have been recovered or put in during a older restoration. Any help will be appreciated.

Do they have pushbuttons on the sides to release the bucket seat backs?

I don't see any buttons so I'd have to assume they're 66. Fits A-body GM cars, like Chevelle, Cutlass and GTO. Also looks like someone covered the backs and sides in vinyl.

Entirely possible that the holes for the buttons are just covered in vinyl and that's why we're not seeing them. If that is the case, they could be later ones. In any case, they absolutely have been recovered in a non-stock pattern.

The backs and sides are covered in Vinyl. No release button, and I cant feel anything under the vinyl were the would be.
