I just picked up this bed and I had an extra tailgate, but the problem is the tailgate I have is to big. The bed is 57 long by 47 wide and the other tailgate is 47 wide and the gate on the bed is 41 wide. What year r these parts ImageUploadedByTJJ1366492549.138502.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1366492558.735413.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1366492569.733759.jpg

The rusty on looks to be '28-'30/early '31 Model A. In late '31, they went to a wider bed, which is what the black door looks like it was on.

I don't recall how wide the '32-'34 beds got up to, but the black gate may be one of those.

    Later, Kinky6

looks like the black tailgate is for a 31 wide bed or a 32-34 bed

  6. The black gate is definitely late 31-32 see I believe the three staps is a dead giveaway!!

Most reproduction tailgates come from Mack Products.
They dont seem to be all that flash with website stuff but if they still produce the same hard copy catalogue that I have you can check out dimensions etc and confirm what you have.

Below is a copy of the home page on their website and how to obtain a catalogue...
