You can always add the zinc. STP or ZDDP additive.

  8. The Joe Gibbs break in oil is a higher zinc content than the "normal" street oils. They recommend using it for the first 500 miles than change it. It is a conventional base oil.

I'm working at a car show today offsite from the dealership, because of that I don't have my literature on that oil. If you need some more information on it you can check their website.

Use off the shelf conventional oil with ZDDPlus - Alliance Vendor here. Their web site: www.ZDDPlus.com

I have read on another forum that Briggs and Stratton brand oil and Harley Davidson brand both still have zinc in them? might be worth a check.

Valaoline VR-1 10W30 comes in both non synthetic and synthetic.

  18. Every one has their favorite oil. Im just not a fan of the brad penn in a engine with alot of power. It seems thin when hot. I have heard it is a semi synthetic. Im dont know for sure. The oil pressure runs low when hot compared to the lucas. And there is no difference in ets.

  19. Don't know about Briggs and Stratton, but Harley Davidson oil is high zinc. Problem is only five choices, 10w-40,20w-50,50w and 60w in conventional oil and 20w-50 in Syn-3, Harley's synthetic brand.

You can get the Lucas stuff just about everywhere around here.

  21. I've been using GM EOS in the black bottle for almost 10 years on every oil change and my new engine fireups.
Same formula since they started bottling that goop and I've never lost an engine yet.
