I have a ‘53 Chevy 210 sedan that has had some upgrades done, ‘77 350 w/tbi heads, TH400, 9” Ford rear end. Has a front crossmember grafted into the frame with R&P steering. One upper bushing is bad, need to figure out what is here. Here is a pic of the RH upper control arm. Thanks!

looks like you got a Pacer front end. More pictures of the whole thing might help confirm.

I guess more common than I thought! Looks like that’s what was grafted in! I’d never have figured it out without asking here. Thanks guys!

In the later 80s Pacers were really cheap, no one wanted them, and turns out it's a good fit in lots of cars and trucks. Now that they're almost 50 years old, not so good of an idea in hindsight.

yeah, parts for it are “limited availability” for sure.
I see $$$ leaving me soon! The PS pump leaks and has a bent double pulley. But that part was used on GM cars, so that can be sourced. UCA bushings are scarce…

A friend of mine put a Pacer front in his girlfriends' 65 Nova in the late 70's, this was before we bought our Nova, long before I knew the realities of the Nova OEM front suspension.
He said it worked good, he also said just about anything would have been an improvement.

Maybe I'm too optimistic, but if I were you I'd call someone like Energy Suspension. Control arm bushings are just round with a hole for the cross shaft. I bet if you measure the inner and outer diameter something they have would fit.

I put a Pacer crossmember under an AD truck with instructions and mount kit from Chassis Engineering. Worked fine.

Pacer. Corvair, and Volare front suspensions were popular before Mustangs became popular. They were easy bolt in suspensions for a lot of vehicles. Each had it's problems.
Pacer was a low production vehicle. Brake parts were always expensive compared to other vehicles. I know I had difficulty finding parts for one about 15 years ago. I doubt finding parts for them has gotten any easier.
