The chop on my 53 chevy is going well and should be completed in a couple weeks. We will start the retro fit of the 56 chevy tail lights next week but wouldn't ya know it the front cap that I traded for isn't going to cut it. Its a 50 chevy and although it mostly lines up to the car the body lines are too different to work with right now (I'm trying to get it ready for the Stray Kat 500) so its back to the drawing board. The question is "How different are the body lines between 53 and 54? Would a 54 front cap bolt up without any major changes? I need to get busy let me know what ya think. Pictures of the work so far are comming soon.
Are you talking front clip? (fenders and hood) If so, then I believe you should be able to bolt a '54 front clip on a '53 with no problems. r
the fenders will bolt right up, but the 54s are different in the grill area under the headlights, Im not sure how this affects any other parts bolting together though. the hoods are not different. BTW Jester...I have 2 53 fenders for sale in Ft. Smith.
