need help please with brake bleeding 63 c10

  1. take pic of your firewall, It looks like the older (62 and older) have a staggered bolt pattern, where the '63 and newer have the 2 bolts across from each other.

    this is the manual master for a '60-'62.....way different from an a/t to a m/t:

    thanks all, i am just going to order the same version as the one that was in there. tried rebuilding it over and over again yesterday, even drilled out the little holes in the m/c piston as they were all blocked. i was hoping that by doing that it would let the vacuum build up or whatever to let the piston return after being depressed but no luck. its 19.00 for a rebuild or 25 for a complete new master cyl? odd so i am just getting a new one.

    im curious what the difference between auto and manual trans has to do with a brake cyl? i guess maybe the auto came with power brakes and this a different master? i have non powered drum brakes with a single line from the master.

    how did the spring look that is supose to push the piston back, is it weak?
