Need help removing horn ring

i feel really stupid askin this, but i dont want to damage it any further.

1960 F100 bought the truck, ring was already damaged pretty bad. one side cracked completely off and another crack just waiting to snap. i have tried to get it off the wheel but nothing is budging. i might be just pussyfooting to not break it...... so please tell me what the trick is.

You could squint real hard and say, "Get off my wheel!"

 

Not sure about 60 F-100's but try pushing the center in and rotating counter-clockwise.

funny enough i was thinking the same thing in the shower. at least i didnt waste to much of the daylight after work on it. managed to get everything out but the it, the dash and the headliner

Hmmmm..."40 Year old grease"...it's 2010...1960 was 50 years ago...unless the truk didn't leak in the first 10 years...
