I've got a customer's 66 Chevelle Here with a leaking axle seal and cannot identify who made these c clip eliminators. The part number on the seal is P6490 KOK 1780. All the ones I see online Have a giant block where the new bearing is pressed onto the axle. Seems like this may be a Ford 9 inch type bearing.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. 20240625_111557.jpg 20240625_111603.jpg 20240625_111618.jpg

Seems like there's something missing. Most of the C-clip eliminators I've dealt (Moroso) with have an external housing for the bearing. This one appears to have the outer race in the housing end, but the retainer plate has no where for the seal to go....unless the outer wheel bearing race isn't seated all the way. Almost appears to be a gap at the bottom edge of the race. I've never seen one like this.

Yup, all the parts are there and I've never seen one like this either. I ended up putting it back together for now. Until I can figure something out.

  4. That looks like a mid-late '70s Ford 9" setup.

    That's what I was
Thinking but the bearings are smaller

Looks like an aftermarket housing end, made to fit the stock backing plate bolt pattern but fit 9" Ford bearings..

Moser and Strange both carry them.

What's the OD on the bearing race?
