I have 3 15" steel GM rims I need to sell. They were on one of 2 60 Caddys I had a long time ago, but are all different. All are 15" with a 5" bolt pattern. One has a square stamped in it, one has a circle and the 3rd has no extra stamp. I tried to add pictures but it said the files were too large. Any help is appreciated.
make the image files smaller. But not too small. If you're using a phone, that could require using an image resizing app, or maybe just cropping using the photo viewing app you already have. If you're using a desktop computer...well, I use ms paint to do all that stuff
The original Caddy rims had a strange outer lip profile, which meant you could not use the "standard" clip-on wheel weights. They had ones with a longer steel arm so the weight sat further into the wheel so the wheel cover could fit over them. There were also F100 rims which had the same PCD, not sure of the year.
I thought it was the hubcap, not the wheel, that was the reason for the special weights. But my '64 Cadillac is long gone.
Hello, Open up your photo file and copy it to a Word Document paper. Paste your photo onto the blank page. Now, you can take the bubbles on the edge and with your mouse pointer, move in inward to the center of the 4 corners. As the image gets smaller, it will show up smaller on the HAMB reply BOX As you can see, the photo is copied and pasted just as it came from my file folder. But, for me it is too large and needs to be resized to keep the focus clear. The larger the photo, the fuzzier it gets, even if the photo is a digital saved photo. There are limits to all photos taken and saved. So, now you have the basics to getting the right size for posting. If an area of the photo is necessary, then blow up the photo, but copy only the part you want to show. The custom white ball shifter accessory is difficult to see, on this larger photo. So, if I were to emphasize the ball, I would have taken a direct photo closer to get the best image. Again, the larger the original photo, the fuzzier it gets. If you want to show numbers, lettering, it will get blurry, even if you use a photo program to clear up a enlarged photo. Retake your original photo closer to show detail numbers, etc. Jnaki Hope these simple ways to get clear photos posted on the HAMB threads is enough to get you started. YRMV
Those Cad wheels With the hubcaps that clip in right at the lip do have a way more pronounced to hold the hubcap that only fits those wheels. I've never tried fitting a different hubcap on that style of Cad wheel although I did a lot of tire changes and front end work on them.
