5A76AC58-6DCC-4116-A01D-C5FE04506AE6.jpeg I'm new to the model a motor and am looking for someone near La Verne, CA that I can pay to get my car tuned up. When I drive the car and try to accelerate it starts backfiring and sputtering and chokes up.

like it's starving for fuel? because the gravity feed tank is at the same height as the carb?

There's probably something else wrong with it, also.

but if you're gonna drive a car like that, you really need to learn enough about it, to fix problems like this.

    we can help.

I’m running this as well at 2 psi. I don’t believe it’s running out of gas. I just put the Mallory in with centrifugal advance and electronic ignition and I have had this same problem with 2 stock distributors as well. I’m trying to learn but I’m stuck on this.

Try calling Dave Lang at Fuel Curve West in Upland.
He mostly does race stuff, but he rebuilt the stock dizzy on my chrysler and does all my buddy's sidedraft Olds rochesters.
    Super cool old-timer.
