Ok so I have a 23 T frame that already has coil spring mounts for the rear but I want to run a leaf spring setup. I need some help on how to go about doing this. I see a lot of stuff where people are going from leafs to coils but not the other way around. Some good pics of a leaf set up would be great. Also, any suggestions on how and where to put the axle mounts, distance apart, would be really helpful.

The only way I can see using a leaf spring on a T bucket is to use a transverse spring.

The only problem I see is you are going to have to rework the entire rear of the frame to mount the spring.HRP

If you mean a simple transverse spring, and you are running that on your front end, everything is REAL similar.

Sorry I should have been a little more specific. I want to use a transverse rear spring. I'm going to cut the coil spring mounts off the frame and just completely start over.

Its REALLY easy to go that direction. You need just a simple perch with u bolts welded to the frame to hold the spring. Then spring hangers welded to the axle (either for above or behind spring). As for the distance to weld them, that all just depends on your spring width.

If you have a transverse front suspension, it is the same idea, just turned around.
