I'm installing a wiring harness on what I have been told is a Cleveland 351 in '29 short bed truck.

I've only delt with small block Chevies in the past, where is the best place near the thermostat to put a temperature switch for the elecric fan for this engine? There is already a sender for the water temperature gauge next to the water outlet in the block.

There are several ports near the water exit, some of which I assume are for the heater, which are not being used in this application, as well as another plug just below the gauge temperature sender.

If you have a photo, that would help, as verbal descriptions alone are sometimes difficult to understand.

or put a fitting inline with the radiator hose.

I'd think you'd want to measure the temp of the water in the radiator, not the engine...

Some Ford thermostat housings come with a threaded bung.
