Technical Need help with a Model A windshield install

So it’s chopped just shy of 3”. After locating the header cover, my chopped A pillar garnishes are sticking out at the top where it meets the cover.
Will the windshield close properly or do I need to trim it so it’s flush ?

Not an issue, windshield seals to the face of the a- pillar. I can fit my finger between that and the windshield frame on my pickup.
