I just ran across a bullet nose more-door in a real odd place. I was cruising around the outskirts of Da Lat in Vietnam today, and was driving past this yard with a bunch of construction equipment and a couple deuce and a halfs, and noticed a 1/4 panel that looked very out of place kinda sticking out behind an old IH bulldozer, backed up for a closer look, sure enough, it was a bullet nose stude 4 door. God only knows what the hell it was doing there.

There was a time when American cars were sold all around the world. Including Vietnam up to 1974 or so.

When the Commies took over a lot of cars were hidden away to wait for better times.

Now I suppose everyone wants a new Lexus or BMW.

A front suspension swap might be in order but swapping the whole chassis usually means cutting up the floor board over the rear axle to clear the high kickups of most later frames. Then you have the pain of getting bumper brackets to fit and other pieces.
You might check with https://scarebird.com/index.php?route=common/home They don't show anything for Studebaker but he does make custom one off brake setups at times.

Oh, I know, I occasionally see them, but only VERY occasionally, most are long gone. The majority that you do see are around '67/'72. I have probably spent a total of about six months here in the last 10 years, I travel around a lot, and have eyes like a hawk, I could count the cars I have seen on one hand, the previous oldest was a '67 mustang notchback, so the stude is a surprise.
I am told a lot were sold to officers through the px, and left behind when they went back.
