Thanks for reading this. I have a 1953 Chevy 210 with the 235 L6. I can not get spark to my plugs. I have spark at my points and it is a strong spark. The distributor cap is in good shape with a little bit of carbon burn. The problem is I can not get spark to the plugs. I bought new coil negitive coil wire is hooked to the srcew sticking out on the distributor. Where should I start to look for the problem. Thank you.

I had a similar problem w/ my 12 volt distributor. My problem was the condensor. I tried everything else before I bought this 4 dollar part (I used to use HEI).

Did you install the rotor? Is your condensor good?

Strong spark at the points is almost surely the condenser. They were designed to prevent that.
