I have no doubt this has been covered once or twice here< but I am going to ask anyhoo. I live in Central PA and I need to find a shop that can set up a block for insert bearings. I also want to find as much info as possible about this as possible, I am going to run a Brumfield super head around 7:1 for now, but want to build an overhead engine too.

Try Schwalms. I have no personal experience with them, but have heard good things. Do you know the guy in Altoona that has the barns FULL of Model A's and parts? If not, you need to. He advertises on FordBarn from time to time.

Max III or Max Hermann at H & H in La Cresenta, CA. No one does Bangers like they do. They are always happy to answer your questions. They did mine (A-Overhead), and Old Crow belly tanker relies on their help, I believe. (818) 248-2347

Schwamms is your best bet for where you live and he just happens to do great work. He just did my B crank. They (NOT Schawmms) also sells ready made main and rod insert bearings. Saw the artical in SOSS and I am sure Schwamms is up to doing that work also. Iceman
