On the front fender there are to 6 positions for moulding clips 2 of these I can't use a bolt on clip. This is the only place down the whole side I'm unable to reach the nut. I hope someone knows of a press in clip that will work, or the ford part number for the clips used on the front fender. I couldn't find any part numbers on my CD.
Should be able to find a press in clip at any auto parts store that sells body repair and paint supplies.
ditto what Dodg said...I got all mine at an auto paint supply house. On the '57's all the round holes were the bolt-ins, all the square ones were the snap-ins. I prefer the nylon clips when I can find them. Don't forget the dab of caulking on each hole under the clips to seal it off from water leaks.
There is not a shop here that sells molding clips. It's a 60 mile trip to get them so I was hoping to order them on line, just wasn't sure of part number.
I've had great success with aftermarket*****erfly clips, you can usually find them at auto parts houses. You should take your trim with you, they are available in several different sizes and these are all I used when putting the trim back on the wagon.HRP
Check with Jeff at Restoration Specialties. He has some real obscure trim clips. If you don't see it on the site, call him.
Never used these folks, but seem to have a good****ortment of clips...by****ortments or individual sizes. http://stores.ebay.com/altha-fastener/Ford-/_i.html?_fsub=349788011
I have used the "butterfly clips " on my 62 galaxy the ones they sell that look like OEM clips do not work.Sometimes you have to IMPROVISE! I got them at RESTORATION SPECIALTIES WINBAR,PA
These guys aren't very far from where I live. I've never bought from them but I know they're good folks.
