    I have a flywheel off a 1979 Chevy 305 boat engine. 153 teeth ~12 3/4 outside diameter, balanced, weighs about 30 pounds.

Wanting to know the range of engines this thing would fit so I can give accurate information when listing it for sale.

I would list it just as you described it above. Takes all the guess work out of things.

Chevy V8 from 55-85, except 400, 454. Chevy six from 1963-85, except 292. Make sure to emphasize the diameter and tooth count, because many of these engines came with a 168 tooth 14" diameter flywheel.

  4. Balanced? the only chevy engines that used any balancing on the flywheels where 400's and 454's most used a neutral balance flywheel. your flywheel isn't very valuable. it will likely only accept a small diameter clutch.
