    Hey guys. Two questions.

    1. I need some help with I.D. of the seats in my '55 chevy. I *think* they are early 60's mid size GM seats? But if anyone knows what they came in for certain, I'd appreciate it.

    2. Once I know what they are, where can I buy new seat covers?

    Thank you in advance!

Look at 64 Impala buckets, they are similar. The seat backs differ from the early versions, lots of info on various sites/forums.

Those aren't 64 Impala, the trim goes all the way around the back in 64. GM used variations of that bucket for a few years in many models. Someone should know what that trim design was from.

that lever is rather interesting. I don't think I've seen that before.

    Thank you a ton!

I got a quote for $3200 to redo the upholstery, going to take stab at it myself. :)

I think that lever gets a piece that goes over it and it moves the seat forward and back on the tracks.

The seat covers for the buckets sell for about $360 from various sources. They are not that hard to install.

The trouble with putting new corvair covers on the front seats is you will not be able to make them match the back seat
