Need help with tri 5 wiper motor

    I need some help..My 57 Chevy electric wiper motor will not shut off when it parks..it will try to park {moves back and forth just a little} I have taken it apart and see nothing wrong....any help??

    probably not what you wanna hear, but I put a new wiper motor in my 50 from Newport Engineering and it works fantastic!! Got it on ebay for 250 shipped, sorry but sometimes new parts are easier than trying to remedy old broken ones...

    Thanks but it works fine it just wont shut off when it goes to park,if i cant figure it out I'll just put a toggle switch on it...

    make sure it's wired properly - I think the 'park' feature is electrical, not mechanical.

    Sounds more like the switch, and less like the motor. I would check the power coming out of the switch when turned off.

    It is wired OK,cable works the switch on the motor ,it just has a hot and a ground..park is both mechanical and electrical on these motors..

    I believe that there is a repair kit just for that problem.
    I think the 5,6,7, club has them, maybe other sources,
    easy fix!

    Could this be fixed by adjusting the pull cable one way or the other? I just dissmantled a 56 wagon it's somewhat fresh in my head...

    did some of them have electric wiper motors stock? mine was vacuum and switched to a Newport electric one when i was building it.

    Tighten the switch. It's the deal behind the knob with the 2 notches ...
