Customs Need Help

Friend of mine just a 1949,club coupe shoebox. Car is red, with White scallops. Car is sectioned ,chev. motor. Only thing he knows about it, is pinstriped by HOTDOG customs. If the car sounds familiar, we like to know more about it. He bought the car from a son who inherited it, and he doesn't know anything about it either.
Any info will be appreciated
