    Hello Lance.
    An introduction would be nice.
I want to say remove the oil pan and unbolt the oil pump. But, I'm guessing that's not what your looking for. Soo... where's your problem? Help me help you.

Sorry new to this. Got a 55 Belaire with no oil pressure up to the rockers. Mechanical lifters and solid push rods. I dropped the oil pan and found the oil pump is held on by two bolts thru the block. The bolt heads are round and you can't get a wrench on them

Yikes! That ****s. I love when I discover little treasures past so-called mechanics leave for you. The bolts rounded off kind of changes things, you have limited space tackling something like that in frame. My opinion, for what it's worth, is pull the engine. An oil pump when it goes out has a tendency to ruin other parts with it. Not all the time, but it's usually my luck that it does. Good luck, hope you get it worked out.
