I have an early Hilborn set up with tall ram tubes that was converted to EFI several years ago. I has an older Megasquirt system. I'm having trouble finding software or a computer site to get the set up sharpened up. It runs, but I think there's more power out there. If you have some experience with these older setups I'd like to talk to you or meet with you. I live in Blue Springs, just east of the Kansas City metro. Of course, I am willing to pay for the service or your time. I just think it could run better than it does. Thanks
If you haven't already, check out https://www.diyautotune.com/. On the mechanical side the stacks appear a bit long and unequal in length. Have you checked how those factors might affect the tune in the RPM range you want to be running in most of the time? Ed
A customer runs one on the street and is very successful, cant remember what brand but the biggest problem he found was the vacuum signal was too weak for the control box, once he installed a vacuum canister into the system, he said the difference was like night and day (as long as you do not live in Alaska)
I run the same setup on my RP, works great. Question, does it have a vacuum signal/MAP sensor or is it set up straight alpha N? See my youtube channel for videos.
Three places: www.efianalytics.com/TunerStudio/download www.tunerstudio.com (which should be Phil Tobin's place as well) and look up a fellow named Fran Olsen, he's forgotten more about FI and EFI, than any of us round here know! Use Hemi in your search.
Thanks for the input. It does have a MAP sensor. We've tried some of the websites. There's some new ones I'll check out. Thanks again.
