I'm planning on going as of now but I don't know where any motels or anything are that is close the show. Also what would be the best way to get there coming from texarkana tx? What kind of $$$ do the motel rooms cost?

I'm staying at a buddies house, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a couple extra people. His house is about 5 minuets away from the CC club.

    Right across the street are:

    http://www.austinmotel.com/
    http://www.sanjosehotel.com/

That's where I'd stay if I was coming from out of town. San Jose is a little more $$$, but nicer. Anywhere downtown is going to be within 10 minutes drive to the club and the show.

Glad you're coming down, should be a blast.

Oh, I forgot to say to tell the San Jose or Austin Motel that you are coming in for the Roundup. We have some rooms blocked off.

Here's the website for the show http://www.lonestarroundup.com

You can still get the video from the LoneStar Roundup '02. That should get ya jazzed to get down here for the last weekend in March. (26-28th)

I'm sure Beatnik will be posting more details and registration info. soon. Boys gotta lot going on these days, so be patient.

  7. Another thing you might want to do is go into Yahoo! yellow pages, set location for Austin Tx. and type in hotels. Make some calls. I have only been here for 11 days and already have seen a ton of nice (a few not so nice) hotels. If you got some money to burn, stay at the Embassy Suites about 3 min from the CC, We did last year and loved it.
Modified, Ronnie, Donald, you guys better be coming out this year! [IMG]
I only live about 7 minutes from the CC......

I'd opt for the San Jose also. I stayed one night in the Austin Motel last year. The cell that I had was pretty*****py. I think the bed's still using the same mattress it's had since 1962. The room wass so small, there was barely enough room to put your suitcase down.

Not to mention all the damn kids with their Hot Rods!!! (shakes fist)

The other thing to consider is that Austin isn’t really all that big. Any hotel in the "down town" area is going to be 15 minutes or less to the show and the club.

21 and over. There will be PLENTY of stuff to do. Last year, we had a small stage across the street in the San Jose parking lot. TRJ sponsored some bands that played there and we showed the video from the first year. There will be a bunch of people that hang out on the street and never come in the club. There were probably 100 or so people over there.

Yeah, it would be more fun to be able to go in and out of the club. But it's not a big enough deal to not come to the show.
