tis the season for an automatic, pre-wired, self watering, folding, self storing, Christmas tree stand with built in electric "choo-choo" train set, but only if it has; realistic sound and smoke...

One of those little 'tailgate lunch' bbq grills that the welders make for their portable welding equipment trucks.

if youve got a truck you could make a "bed extender", goes into your hitch receiver and looks like a goal post, gives you a few extra feet off the back of your truck, simple square tube design, could get fancy and wire it with lights instead of having to hang a flag, If you dont have a truck, you can make it for me.

Why dont you make a screen door for your house out of tubing. Once you do it you can make them all the time and sell them for big bucks!!! For security or an old style look. People pay big money for that stuff and all it will cost you is about 40 dollars and you can make 300 for one of those.

I know its been said before but a engine stand its something you can keep. I made one For my welding project in high school many years ago. and I still have it, everyone that looks at it says that thing would hold a tank, but its something you can say you build it and enjoy it good luck

I'd go with the Reese hith bed extender idea. Ideal is just a variation of Idea (I'm from Kentucky, I'd know).

But hell, atleast you get to build things in your welding cl***! Our "instructor" just tells us to do repeatedly and soulessly do lap joints and t-joints, and gets pissed off if anyone does anything else. I weld and build things on my own, and I'm treated with no respect despite being a**** the top welders in a pretty large program simply because I don't look enough like a "redneck", and actually do/build things instead of bs-ing about them.

I plan on pursuing a career in welding, and I'm going to get my O-Nets and certification out of the cl***, although alot of people who've been genuinely interested in Welding Careers have been deterred simply because of the at***ude of our instructor, hes really a disgrace to Vocational Education.

a lawn beer/drink holder, i dont have a pic but this is how they look, a piece of 1/2" round stock 3ft long pointed on the bottom, another 3" piece welding 6" up from the bottom at a right angle that you put your foot on to push the beer holder into the ground, about 6" from the top weld a couple rings large enough for a beer bottle to fit inside of, another could couple of 3" pieces welded below the rings to hold the bottles from falling through, sometimes i weld a small ring on the top as a handle and a place to hang them up when not in use, all your frinds will want one and you can get creative with your own designs.

make some bird houses or mailboxes, then you can practice your thin metal mig or tig instead of welding thick metal which is easy for a student. my 2cents
