need identification help

I have a 302 I'm trying to identify, the # is D8VE-6015-ASA I think I have the first 8 figured out, I can't figure out the ASA part. Help please this is driving me nuts.

 

not much help with anything other than it's a 1978 !

 

Google MRE books,they have a Ford interchange book that breaks down Ford codes some of the pages are previewed on the website.If you are building a 302 you would be making a good investment if you get this book.
