Hey all, Im building a cheap budget build and I need to get a 4 cylinder that are plentiful, cheap and easy to find parts for, reliable, and would be great if it had a little kick! And lets not forget needs to be pre-smog! (pre 1975) Thanks guys!
Do a search on this forum for 2.0/2.3 Pinto ( and Rangers ). Also lots of info on the 151 GM / 120 OMC & 140 OMC. The 151 started out in the Chevy II, the OMC's are versions of it. Should get you started. Mark
Yeah. The Chevy II is a pushrod motor and looks much more traditional than the OHC Pinto. Other than that I ran a 2000 Pinto in my roadster for a while and it was a great little motor.
