Need info/help-Oxnard/Ventura area

I am working in the area,don't know where to look-I have a 68 Ford F series truck,automatic,column shift.The pot-metal collar that has the shift lever busted,I can't move the truck.Where would I go in the area to find either the collar/shifter piece or an entire column?I called a junkyard in LA,they wanted $400 for a column ,but didn't have one [?]Anyone have a parts truck,or know where I can get the parts.I would rather spend the money with someone here.Thanks muchly. ---bil
