Need info on heads and head rebuild

    Hey guys I am wanting to rebuild a set of heads and i was wondering how I would I.D. the set? Havent pulled them yet but will have pics tomarrow..

    depends what kind of engine it is. if it's a small block Chevy V8 just go to

    and look up the casting number
     
  3. There are a million different places online than have lists of casting numbers. What type of engine is it? Ford, Chrysler, GM...? Another option would be to write down the casting number and contact your local machine shop. Most every shop will be an AERA (Automotive Engine Rebuilders Assoc.) member. See if they'll run the numbers for you.
