Has anyone tried to put an IFS front end in a T-bucket. I have made the frame and installed a 8.8" Mustang posi rear end with disk brakes. Will be running a 355 CI" Chev 375HP and Turbo350 transmission. Like the looks of the aftermarket Mustang II IFS units. Have had experience in the past installing I-beams with wishbones, but not IFS. Wondering how the setup would work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Dee.

  3. Strictly an opinion, but IFS doesn't look quite right on a T-bucket. If you look around, you'll see one of the defining characteristics of a T-bucket is a "suicide" front end with the spring behind the axle. With an IFS, you're likely to get that weird look where the grill shell is actually ahead of the front wheels and to me that doesn't look good.

  5. Hey Mr 100 posts, that was kinda rude.

Dee, the HAMB is about traditional hot rods. IFS on a hiboy is just not that kosher. Most folks here would tell you they prefer a solid axle/transverse leaf setup located by hairpins or wishbones.
