Technical Need Model A Vicky measurement

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by milwscruffy, Sep 2, 2022.

  1. Hey, I need a measure from another Vicky to confirm what I have now. On the inside edge of the front doorjamb there is the lower mounting hole for the dash on each side. I need a measurement from side to side about 1" below that mounting hole. I come up with 40 5/16". I have a Tudor here and that same measurement is 40 11/16". I ordered a 32 style lower dash and already know the 5 hole upper pattern is different from the new dash and the old upper. I braced the body before the wood floor came out and that measurement is so high up I doubt it could moved any. I just want to make sure before I modify the new lower dash to fit, Thanks, Scruffy. Careful what you ask for....you are going to have three different numbers now....I don't know if I understand where you want it measured for sure. The measurement I took is inside to inside, right at the bottom of the dash. It's approximately 3/4" to 1" below the lower hole. As far as I know, this car has never ever been apart.
I'll let you determine the measurement on my tape but it is smaller than yours. The car is a late '31 production with the indented firewall...

  3. Yikes, that was what I was afraid of and mine is also a late 1931. Guess there were all different, just didn't know by how much, thanks. That's the exact measurement I was looking for and used the 1" dimension so someone could measure with the dash in the car.
