Your very lucky to find history on your car so fast. I had several old gassers that I never could find any history on after years of searching. Cool pictures! Keep us posted and thanks for the pm. I will be in touch.

Hi, Dewayne, in the pics you posted, the top left is my race track, Fulton Dragway,
when I was 8 years old. I have owned it for 30 years. NHRA? NOT !!! Who cares.....
It was great racing, and yes your car was classed A/G for the non-believers, I was
there. On the poster, the world's wildest Willys, of Paul Contorno, is the 4 door sedan
that I have owned since 1985 and race weekly. I will post pics soon and history
    of mine soon.

    Thanks,
    Mike Franks

Great Mike, thanks! Can't wait to see the "World's Wildest Willys". Any chance you have a photo(s) of the "Ill Wind" racing against your dad?

There are more photos of the Ill Wind on their way and I'll share everything I find with the HAMB.

Thanks to everyone that showed interest and a BIG thanks to Mike Franks,,,,he made this search pretty darn easy.

    Hi All,

Sorry it has been so long since posting anything on the "Ill Wind". That 4-letter word, WORK, got in the way. Have more history to post soon. Stay tuned!

i'm not a big racing fan, and i realize this thread is 8 years old. i just joined this group today because i stumbled across something that i hope is of value to you. i was looking at a great photograph for sale on eBay, and when i sent in search of additional detail, i came across your posting. here is the link to the photograph in the event it works of you. i'm no expert, but it looks like your car to me (i'll try to upload the image as well): https://www.ebay.ca/itm/1950S-HOT-R...rentrq:82f4997f1620a9cc223af1e1fffe62c9|iid:1

This car belonged to Carlton Franks of Fulton Ms. Carlton is the father of Mike Franks who owns tracks in Fulton Ms and Byhalia Ms. Mike has made comments on this post. I believe the Willys in background is the Contourno Houser car out of Al that Mike owns now.
