Need opinions for build

Ok my friends and family are 70-30 against my idea for my next build.I got this really clean 35' ford 5 window coupe that is pretty much just an uncut straight solid body with 2 doors and a decklid,no fenders etc....I dont want to build it as a sled or just fenderless,so i have an idea of stuffin in this 600 horse bbc with a muncie i have layin around,set engine back,chop 4-6"off the top,shorten and section the rear so its not so long out back,maybe try and look like a 34' from the rear,run a stock 40'front beam and bones,lower the rear so fenderwell is 1-2" above slicks,car will sit just a little higher in front...just something different,kinda like a gasser but not

Friends tell me leave it,slam it or gasser it with fenders..i say screw them all....so i'd thought id get somemore opinions before i "SLAMCHOP"

 

With the exception of the shorten and section part...I like it.
