been lazy as hell... looking for inspiration to get my '64 cleaned up. probably starting with the stance. anyone got any pics of some bagged '64s? 5 spokes and bellflowers would be a bonus. thanks in advance... -- raaf damn, haven't been here in a while, what happened to my post total?!! ha ha.
i plan on welding and filling the rear doors as in the top photoshop. i've always liked the longer lines of it, just not the doors. maybe you don't, then again it aint your car.
There's a guy here in town that has a wagon that looks very close to that, do you know where yours went?
Why If you got it run it. You just have to try harder to make it cool. but like any car the right changes make the diff. Oh Yeah I forgot the cool guy word. "BRO"
well all the benchs will sit below door height, i just meant make sure you get galaxie buckets or hardtop bench so that the seat backs will fold forward allowing your rear passengers to get in (welded rear doors). i have a bench in mine and it sits just about even with the doors if not a tiny bit lower. buckets kick ass...but we all know benchs are cool if ladies ever ride with you.
aint nothing wrong w/ more doors...especially the hardtops...that's what make them cool in the first place. Just my opinion, if you weld them doors shut, Just like you said, Its your car... but you may end up keeping it....forever. The car is bitchen just like it is....I wouldnt change a thing but the handles
don't be a pussy . . . keep all the doors . That car is fucking cool and all it needs is an altitude adjustment . Bag it , get some galaxy buckets , and drive it silly . Oh and you dont even really need to bag it . My '63 was just cut coils and 4 inch blocks , with a few leaves taken out of the back , and it rode like a cadillac . The frame was 3 inches off the ground , all the time and it was fun as hell to slide over speedbumps . booyah
you act like you know something about four doors... ha ha. the doors will probably be the last thing i'll do so if it looks right, they'll stay. i'm pretty serious about bagging it though - but cutting it might be the way to go in the short term. i've got a lot of boring mechanical shit to do right away, hopefully finished this month... brakes + misc crap done in a garage the size of a postage stamp. then onto the fun stuff.
personally I think you could roll it 4 door or not. It is a clean ride. If you decide not to weld up the back doors ( which would be pretty easy to do) you could always suiside the back doors. slammin it looks real good...
A 1964 car? with 4 doors? On a traditional hotrod forum? Slazzen says we need a 'streetrod' forum on the HAMb. Looks like we need a 'street machine' forum, too.
